Shavuot Holiday Gift

Bringing the warmth of the holiday to many families in our community.

  • Dear Friends,

The holiday of Shavuot is quickly approaching (the eve of May 16 - May 18 2021).  Shavuot marks the day the Jews received the Torah from G-d on Mount Sinai.  It is the day we said "yes" to G-d's request to be His Chosen Nation. In essence, it is the birthday of the Jewish nation!

More than 3,300 years later, we are still commemorating that event.  Each year on Shavuot, we renew our commitment to G-d and His Torah.  Kabbalah teaches us that G-d is the groom and we are His beloved bride.  On this holiday we "renew our vows."

Shavuot is celebrated by attending services at Synagogue and hearing the recitation of the Ten Commandments from the Torah.  It is also celebrated by enjoying delicious dairy foods such as cheesecake, ice cream and cheese blintzes!

Holiday Gift:  It is our pleasure to offer our dear community a taste of the Holiday with a giveaway Shavuot package which will include; delicious cheese blintzes, Shabbat candles, a yahrzeit candle, Ten Commandments information and insights, and a Shavuot activity for children.

Please use the form below to request a package or to suggest a neighbor, friend or senior who would appreciate a Shavuot package.

If you are able to sponsor some packages we would greatly appreciate it.

    Best regards,
    Rabbi Avi & Michal Korer
